Memberships: Tuition and Trajectories

APD is proud to be a unique studio where students are instructed as in a school of dance, rather than drop-in gym style. To provide the best quality service and experience, that means we structure our curriculum to be comprehensive; classes complement each other, there is a clear path to your chosen focus area, and our lesson plans build in a way that makes sense.

With a founder that studied physiology, dance, and anatomy before earning a M.Ed. in Higher Education, would you expect any less? However, with this education model, this means we do not offer single-class experiences outside of the occasional open-to-the-public workshop. All of our students are members on a monthly tuition plan.

How do I start classes at APD?

Exclusively Beginner

All new-to-APD students take Exclusively Beginner. This four-week class functions as both an orientation to our studio school, as well as teaches foundational skills in pole dance, floorwork, flow, heels, and muscle engagement. This class is meant to give you a “taste” of the primary modalities we teach, in the way we teach, to make sure we are a fit for you. Even experienced pole dancers are recommended to take this class if they have never been to APD, or if they have been away from APD for more than a year.

Starter Membership

After your Exclusively Beginner course, you meet the prerequisites to attend over 15 class period each week! You are eligible for a “Starter Membership”, which is 5 classes of your choice each month and unlimited open studio visits. The starter membership is a 3-month commitment that does NOT auto renew.

More classes open up to you as you pass your prerequisite classes! APD has 7 unique levels of pole curriculum: Pole 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, and 4. We also have a great selection of flow, floor, heels, choreography, eroticism, and tricks classes available for multiple levels. Every student moves at their own pace while getting individual support, creating community with classmates, and becoming more authentically themselves.
